295 SUMMER NEWSLETTER 2026 Year 11 Prom The Year 11 Prom held at Rivington Barn, was a fitting celebration to mark the end of an important chapter in our students’ lives. It was fantastic to see students arrive looking smart, confident and ready to enjoy an evening with their friends. The event was filled with laughter, dancing and memorable moments, providing a wonderful opportunity for students to celebrate their achievements together before embarking on the next stage of their educational journey. Celebrating a Year of Hard Work Across all year groups, students have demonstrated tremendous commitment throughout the year. Whether in the classroom, on the sports field, through performing arts, charitable activities or leadership opportunities, our young people have represented Thornleigh with pride. We have been particularly impressed by the perseverance students have shown when faced with challenges and the support they have offered one another. Looking Ahead As we move into the summer break, we encourage all students to take time to rest, recharge and enjoy spending time with family and friends. We hope they return in September refreshed, motivated and ready to embrace new opportunities and challenges. For those students leaving Thornleigh Salesian College, we wish you every success and happiness in the future. You will always remain a valued part of our school family, and we look forward to hearing about your future achievements. Mr Jones and Ms Newby Leavers’ Mass Our Leavers’ Mass provided a wonderful opportunity for reflection and thanksgiving as we celebrated the journey of our Year 11 students through Thornleigh Salesian College. It was a special occasion that allowed students and staff to come together to recognise achievements, share memories and give thanks for the friendships and experiences that have shaped their time with us.
