Pastoral care is central to school life, with our Care and Guidance Team working to ensure students from all backgrounds feel valued. We use the preventive system of St John Bosco, placing the formation of relationships and accompaniment with students on their journey in school at the heart of our core practice. Teaching and learning remain our priority, through a broad, balanced curriculum, delivered by committed staff encouraging ambition and resilience in our students. Outside of the classroom, Thornleigh offers rich opportunities to develop talent in activities ranging from sport, music, drama, film and dance. Our new student leadership team offers an authentic, powerful voice in school life that will shape its future direction. We also have an active parent group that contributes constructively to the conversation around school improvement. Thornleigh values its partnerships with local primary schools and the wider Bolton community.
