What another fabulous turnout for our annual “Communicake Competition”.

As part of our Language Week celebrations, students are invited to bake a cake or a sweet treat which represents a different culture or country. We had an overwhelming response to this and students baked some delicious goods representing a range of cultures, from Italy, to Mexico, to Poland. We then held a bake sale at lunchtime where the cakes were sold for 50p per slice. Overall, we raised over £140 which we will use to support our chosen charities of Caritas and CAFOD.

We found it extremely difficult to judge the best bakes but we eventually found four winners for each of the following categories: Design, Taste, Sweet Treat and Most Popular.
