Rivers of the World Project

We have a very exciting project happening in the art department!

Rivers of the World is an international art and education project delivered in partnership with the British council.

The two-year programme involves our pupils learning about their local river in the first year then learning about a river in another country in the second. The project encourages our students to explore and reflect on local and global issues, giving them the experience to build the skills they need for life and work in a global society.

To make the experience even more special, we have been partnered with a school in Afghanistan to work together internationally to create the work. The collective final artworks will be displayed as part of the Thames Festival Trust online gallery exhibition. We can’t wait to see our students ideas develop and build relationships with students and teachers from another country!
