  • Sport & Dance Presentation Evening 2024

    Published 25/10/24

On Wednesday 23rd October we hosted our ninth annual sport and dance presentation evening which celebrates the contributions that our students make to the extra-curricular life of the school.

The evening was an opportunity to reward the many sporting, aesthetic, leadership and academic successes that took place in the previous academic year and hundreds of certificates, school colours, trophies and medals were awarded to the deserving winners.

On the evening, the audience vote for the Thornleigh Sports Personality of the Year, after watching video montages that demonstrate the achievements of the seven nominees. The students nominated for the award this year were Jacob S (Y9), Elise H (Y9), Ruby W (Y10), Lyla H (Y9), Leo T (Y10), Zeke H (Y10) and Lucy W (Y10). The voting was close with Jacob S finishing 3rd, Ruby W and Lucy W finished tied 2nd and Leo T being crowned Sports Personality of the Year 2024!

We would like to thank all the students, parents and carers that attended on the evening to enable the night to be a success. Any students that were not in attendance on the evening will receive their awards via year group assemblies after the half-term break. We hope that this event continues to inspire our students to get involved in PE and extra curricular sport and dance, in anticipation of a great academic year ahead!
