The Riot Act

Road Safety in Action

This week, our Year 8 and Year 9 students participated in an interactive drama workshop delivered by The Riot Act. The performance focused on road safety and the importance of making responsible decisions.

What was covered:

  • Distraction Awareness: Understanding the dangers of being "attached to a phone" while crossing roads.
  • Decision-Making: Encouraging students to think twice before engaging in risky behavior.
  • Peer Influence: How to stay safe and responsible even when under pressure.

The students’ feedback has been fantastic. Chisom called the play "exceptional," while Tatiana noted that the actors taught "responsible life lessons" in a way that truly resonated with their age group.

We are proud of how our students engaged with these important topics and look forward to continuing these safety conversations in the classroom.
