Thornleigh Christmas Fair 2025

Our First Ever Centenary Christmas Fair – A Wonderful Success!

We are delighted to share that our first Centenary Christmas Fair was a huge success, bringing together pupils, families, staff and friends of the school in a truly festive celebration. It was so lovely to see so many members of our community come together and support this special event as we continue with our year of celebrating 100 years of Thornleigh.

The school was filled with Christmas cheer from start to finish. Visitors enjoyed a whole host of festive activities and treats, from meeting Santa in his grotto to enjoying delicious hot drinks from Joe’s Coffee Company and warm, hearty food from Carr’s Pasty. Our external stallholders added to the atmosphere with their beautiful handmade gifts and seasonal products, offering perfect presents and stocking fillers for all.

The Christmas games and tombolas proved incredibly popular, particularly the Hook-a-Duck: Christmas Edition and our Holly Jolly Jackpot, which had families returning again and again to try their luck. It was wonderful to see so much joy, excitement and community spirit throughout the day.

Thanks to the generosity and support of everyone who attended—and the hard work of staff, students and volunteers who made it all possible—we raised over £1,500 (final total to be confirmed) for our Centenary fundraising. This contribution will play a key role in supporting the many events and projects planned to celebrate this landmark year.

We are already looking forward to making next year’s fair even bigger and better. With such a brilliant start, it is clear that a new Thornleigh tradition has been born.

Thank you again to all who came along, contributed, volunteered or supported from afar. Look out for more Centenary events happening throughout this incredible year as we celebrate our school’s proud 100-year legacy.

Here’s to a year of celebration, community and memories that will last another century.
