4 SUMMER NEWSLETTER 2026 The visit of the Rector Major of the Salesians, Fr Fabio Attard SDB, was a wonderful and unexpected blessing for the Thornleigh community during this Centenary Year. While attending the Diaconate Ordinations, Fr Fabio took time to meet with the Headteacher, student leaders and members of the school community. His presence at Thornleigh was a significant and memorable occasion, offering encouragement and inspiration as we continue to celebrate 100 years of Salesian ministry in Bolton. His visit served as a powerful reminder of Thornleigh’s place within the worldwide Salesian family and was greatly appreciated by all who had the opportunity to meet him.
