14018 SUMMER NEWSLETTER 2026 Art Year 10 Art Department Trip In May, our Year 10 Art students took part in an inspiring trip to Smithills Hall as part of their current nature project. The visit provided students with the opportunity to gather valuable first-hand observations through photography, drawing, and painting, helping to support the development of their coursework back in the classroom. Throughout the trip, students were highly engaged and demonstrated excellent creativity and focus while exploring natural forms, textures, colours, and patterns. They produced a wide range of high-quality observational studies and photographic references that will form the basis of future work. It has been exciting to see the enthusiasm and artistic potential shown by the group, and we look forward to seeing how these initial ideas and studies develop further in the coming weeks.
