6 SUMMER NEWSLETTER 2022 RE Follow us @tsc_re This term students in Year 8 have been studying what it means to be a modern day disciple. As part of this they have explored the life of Saint Oscar Romero who put his life on the line to fight against injustice. Our students have been creating Romero Crosses that symbolise the work he did and how he always put Christ at the center of his mission. YEAR 8 ROMERO CROSSES CONFIRMATION PROGRAMME This year our Year 8 students took part in the Sacrament of Confirmation. The y have worked alongside their parish as well as our Catechist in school to prepare for this joyous event where they received the gifts of the Holy Spirit. Co ngratulations, and well done on all the hard work and preparation you did for this sacrament, we are so proud of you and thrilled to have been able to guide you on this spiritual journey. As part of our Year 8 course students have been exploring who are modern day disciples and have created projects on their modern day disciple. Students were asked to investigate the life of someone who has fought against injustice, stood up for human rights or followed Christian teachings. Our Year 8 students got creative with their projects and created some fantastic pieces demonstrating both their knowledge and creativity. Well done! MODERN DAY DISCIPLE PROJECTS
