4 SUMMER NEWSLETTER 2022 YEAR 11 LEAVER’S CELEBRATION 2022 Oh, what a night… and indeed it was a very special one for our Year 11s as they celebrated all their many achievements during their 5 years at Thornleigh. On Friday 1st July, the Year 11s spent the evening at the Bolton Whites Hotel. The evening began in a wonderful way at school where families could immerse themselves in the experience by watching the Year 11s arrive. To mark the occasion of the last year group activity, they all arrived and left the venue together by coach… and in between there was dancing, year group awards - congratulations to Prom King Joseph V and Prom Queen Faith A who both wore their crowns with pride! - food and more dancing. As the strains of ‘Sweet Caroline’ died down no one could be in doubt that this was quite the night to remember!
