Summer Newsletter 2022
525 SUMMER NEWSLETTER 2022 BOLTON ATHLETICS CHAMPIONSHIPS This year also saw the return of the Bolton Athletics Championships for the 1st time since 2019 and our students were super excited to get back to competing on the track at Leverhulme Park. Fo r our Year 7, Year 8 and even our Year 9 students, this was their first opportunity to compete in the event, so it was an opportunity to see how they fared against the best in the town - and they didn’t disappoint! W e had multiple town champions in their respective events and lots of podium finishes for the teams, with the highlight being the Year 8 Boys who were crowned the champions in a close contest. A s pecial mention to many of our Year 10 students too, who came from their work experience placement to represent school for the last time in this event. Well done to all students that were involved. All the girls worked hard on what was a very hot day and thoroughly enjoyed the opportunity to compete in a different competition against a range of opponents, under the watchful eyes of England Lioness scouts.
