115 SUMMER NEWSLETTER 2022 SCIENCE GARDEN RENOVATION With the exciting renovation of the science garden, our talented Art leaders have produced a mural for the garden wall. They developed the design using inspiration from my street artists and the natural world. It was a busy day including painting and making, creating recycled wall planters and some insect hotels as well! ARTSMARK We are celebrating after receiving a prestigious Artsmark Award in a momentous year for the programme as it celebrates 20 years of arts, culture and creativity in schools. T he Artsmark Award is the only creative quality standard for schools, accredited by Arts Council England. It supports schools to develop and celebrate arts and cultural education, putting creativity and wellbeing at the heart of the curriculum. A rtsmark ensures every young person can be creative and access a diverse, high-quality cultural education. Receiving our Artsmark Award, has so far been a two year journey developing our arts and culture provision across key areas in Art and Design, Music, Drama, Performing Arts and Dance.
