104 SUMMER NEWSLETTER 2022 ART Follow us @tsc_art QUEEN’S JUBILEE PARADE FLAGS We are delighted to share with you our news, we won! We were one of the 200 schools selected to have their artwork carried during the Queen’s Jubilee Parade in London. Our Year 7 students worked together to produce our submission inspired by the River Thames as part of The Rivers of the World project. Rivers of the World is an international art and education project delivered in partnership with the British Council. Our design was printed onto a huge silk flag, that was then carried along The Mall in London. JUBILEE ART DISPLAY Our Year 9 students have taken part in the friends of Astley Bridge jubilee celebration. Alo ngside other local nurseries, school and community groups our students created two large artworks to celebrate the Queen’s 70th Jubilee. Inspired by Punk Rock the students created two large pieces which were proudly displayed along the side of Astley Bridge Bowling Green.
