9513 SUMMER NEWSLETTER 2022 F1 IN SCHOOLS F1 in Schools is an international STEM - science, technology, engineering, mathematics - competition for school children aged 11 - 19, in which groups of 3 - 6 students have to design and manufacture a miniature car out of the official F1 Model Block using CAD/CAM design tools. St udents have worked hard designing and testing their cars to make sure that they meet the specification. W e are all very excited to race at the regional finals. Ensuring we met the technical specification was fun. We had to be able to work as a team and identify if someone had not met the spec. We worked together on the quality W e knew that we could have a perfect car but needed to make sure that our response time was quick too so we practiced this.
