A Level Physics Additional entry requirements: A minimum of grade 7:7 in GCSE Combined Science. You will also be required to have a grade 7 in GCSE Mathematics. Physics should not be chosen as the only science option. Why study Physics at Thornleigh Sixth Form? Physics can be used to accurately answer questions from the simple; where will a thrown ball land? To the incredibly complex; what happens if we try to run as fast as light? Course Description Physics is often at the forefront of innovation and developing new technology. Throughout this course you will study the main topics of: • Measurements and their errors • Particles and radiation • Waves • Mechanics and materials • Electricity • Further mechanics and thermal physics • Fields and their consequences • Nuclear physics There will also be an optional unit. You will also receive a separate grade for your practical skills throughout the course. What support will I receive?
