Easter Newsletter 2022
521 SPRING NEWSLETTER 2022 FOOTBALL Our Year 7 students enjoyed a day out to take part in a football tournament at the Manchester United training ground. The boys had superb attitudes, played some great football and came away as eventual winners of the tournament. It was a great day out and a rare opportunity to see some medals for the red side of Manchester - well done boys. At th e time of print, the Year 7 students are also in the semi-final of the Bolton Cup and face Bolton School in order to reach the final. They have had a great first season together, beating Ladybridge, Kearsley and Smithills en route - fingers crossed they make the final. Th e Year 8 team have also enjoyed a great first season together and have probably been the most committed of our year groups, consistently attending training each week. They have enjoyed some good wins and are in the late stages of the Bolton Plate where big things are expected from them - good luck boys. We also want to congratulate Nathan B, Louie E and Henley C for being selected to represent the Bolton Schools representative team. Year 9 have played lots of games and enjoyed some big wins as well as tough challenges. They have a great attitude and are a pleasure to work with. At the time of writing, Year 10 are preparing for a Bolton Cup SF against Westhoughton to hopefully book their place in the final, they have enjoyed some good wins along the way and will hopefully have the opportunity to bring back some silverware. And finally, our Year 11 boys, in their final year at school have again faced some tough games. The highlight of the season was reaching the semi final of the Greater Manchester Plate, only to be edged out by a good Audenshaw team. DANCE DANCE THIS TERM!
