System One Travel - Junior Travel Pass Information - January 2019

We have received the following information from the Transport for Greater Manchester:

…We are aware of overloading issues with regards to school services 923 in the morning.  Please could you make pupils aware that there are spaces for up to 50 children available on service 936 to Smithills school which also calls in to Thornleigh and follows the same route as service 923.  Please see the attached page for current running times of the morning 936 service which serves the school.

With regards to the afternoon overloading on these schools services, we are currently looking at options to try and resolve this issue, however in the interim if some children are left behind, they can walk down to Moss Bank Way and board service 936.  We have made Atlantic Travel who operate this service aware that Thornleigh pupils may wish to board this service.

936 departs Smithills at 15:25 due at Astley Bridge at 15:31 (we do not show the afternoon 936 journey on your school web page as it does not serve the school.   Please note the afternoon 936 service only travels as far as Breitmet/Somerton Road.
